Dinner Theatre....

On Tuesday night, the boys were in charge of dinner. At their request we had breakfast for dinner. Pancakes and sausage, biscuits and gravy. What ensued was nothing short of hilarious. Here's a transcript of some of the nights events, as well as some pictures (which say it all on their own!)

Some of what transpired in the kitchen on Tuesday night in the kitchen

Isaiah: Chris! Don’t put that in there!

Isaiah: Oh, now you stepped in it!

Chris: Travis, Travis, Support!!!

Chris: Are we allowed to quit? Travis: We are doing great!

Olivia: I’m going to go get a drink

Chris: No, no you can’t see them!

Chris: That’s definitely sticking! That spray did nothing!

Chris: Travis, I’m dying!

Pam: Hey boys, how are you doing?

Chris: They’ll taste good, but they’ll not look attractive.

Chris: They’re sticking, even with that no stick stuff

Isaiah: We’re not quitters!

Isaiah: They just exploded on me! MMOOOOMMM!!!

Chris: I’m trying to fix them, okay?

Chris: Where do I put them?

Pam: In the trash…

Chris: Uh oh

Chris (to Pam): Get out of our kitchen!

Pam: That was close on the biscuits!

Chris: That was a good looking pancake! Yes, Chris!

Isaiah: This is almost embarrassing!

Isaiah: Oh yeah, pick it up off the floor they won't notice.

Isaiah: If Chef Ramsey were here we’d be toast!

Travis: Ahh, yeah!

Chris: They’re black!

Travis: They’re perfect!

Chris: They’re as black as the midnight sky

Isaiah: Chris, we should cook dinner more often!

Chris: We should NOT!

Chris: We have another deformed pancake!

Travis: There is no turning back!

Travis:We’ll call it Cajun! Edible and attractive are different things!

Chris: That’s a crispy golden white

Isaiah: Why are you smashing pancakes anyway?

Chris: I’m a pro at pancakes

Isaiah: You are SO FAR away from a pro!

Isaiah: How many pancakes did YOU scramble?

Chris: Do you want some hot pancake batter, Travis?

(It is important to note that everyone got fed that night, there was enough edible food to go around! They really did a fine job, it was just a little dramatic :)

Work hard, play hard!

Well, the weather has been less than fabulous. It rained literally ALL DAY Monday and even snowed a little Tuesday. It's pretty chilly this morning as well. They've been working both inside and outside throughout the day. So far they've demo'ed most of the inside of a two story log cabin. They love doing demo work! (See the picture of Olivia and Isaiah). The Camp just got something called "poly pong", or 4 sqaure ping pong. It's a lot of fun!

You better keep checking the blog, we'll have pictures and a transcript of the "dinner theatre" we had last night when the three guys made dinner. It was hilarious! :) So far, no major injuries. Amy bonked her head pretty good, and we have some cuts, scrapes and blisters. Oh, and lots of sore muscles we forgot we had.

The destruction of a restroom!

Soggy Monday!

We had a great, safe trip over here yesterday! We spent the evening trying to get a fire going, and when that didn't work we cooked on the stove! Thanks to Cora and Esther for sticking with it so we could eat!

No one slept super great last night (except the boys), but I'm sure that'll change tonight! The group demolished the inside of an outdoor restroom in under 2 HOURS! They kicked, pulled, pried and flied (Oh, Isaiah.. don't worry mom, he's fine). You'll find pictures in the next post.

We'll call this the "before" picture.
